Volunteer Opportunities at MST

MST thrives because of the strong partnership between our teachers, parents, and community. Volunteering is one of the best ways to support our students and get connected with the MST community.

PTA-ORGANIZED VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 

The MST PTA regularly organizes volunteer roles that help keep our programs and events running smoothly. No weekly or ongoing commitment required!

These opportunities may include:

• MST Staff Birthday Fairy (monthly opportunity to celebrate and gift our teachers and staff);

• Tuesday Workday support (Tuesday folders distribution & teacher assistance projects);

• Room Reps (help support your child's classroom and teacher and act as a liaison for your grade);
• Library Volunteers;
• Tiger Squad (fathers & father-figures help with carpool on Friday mornings);
• MST Garden Volunteers;

• Event set-up and clean-up;

• Spirit wear sales and distribution; and

• Community events and family nights

Reminder: All volunteers setting foot on an RISD campus must complete the Volunteer Registration process.

School & Classroom Opportunities

Some volunteer opportunities are coordinated directly by MST staff and your child’s teacher. These may include:

• Field trip chaperones;

• Classroom events and celebrations; and

• Teacher-specific projects.

Keep an eye out for communication from your child’s teacher through newsletters, classroom messages, or school announcements for these opportunities.
