We love our volunteers! At MST Elementary, parent and guardian involvement helps build a stronger school community and creates memorable experiences for our students. From helping with class parties and school events to supporting PTA initiatives, there are plenty of ways you can make a difference.

Step 1: Share Your Interest

Not sure where to start? Let us know you're interested and we’ll help you find the right fit!
📝Complete our general interest form here to be connected with a PTA leader and receive emails with volunteer opportunities.

🚨Step 2: Complete the RISD Volunteer Registration🚨

Before you can volunteer at MST Elementary or any other school in Richardson ISD, all prospective volunteers must complete the required Volunteer Registration process. This includes:

  • Filling out a short online registration form; and

  • Watching a brief orientation video.

The process takes just a few minutes and helps ensure a safe and secure environment for all students.

Step 3: Sign Up for Volunteer Opportunities at MST

Once you've received confirmation of your background check through Verkada, you're ready to jump in and help! MST offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the school year — from classroom help and event support to field trips and library assistance.

📆Browse the PTA's Current Volunteer Opportunities, and keep an eye out for sign-up links in teacher and school communications.

Step 4:  Log Your Volunteer Hours

PTAs log volunteer hours to demonstrate significant parent and community engagement, which is crucial for maintaining the PTA’s non-profit tax-exempt status and for securing grants and other funding.

If you've volunteered on behalf of MST Magnet Elementary, please log your hours using the instructions below.
