Connecting Classrooms, Families & Our MST Community

Room Reps play an important role in building community at MST! They serve as a connection between classroom teachers, families, and the PTA, helping share information, coordinate classroom celebrations, and encourage families to get involved.

Room Reps don't have to do everything themselves! Their role is to help organize, communicate, and bring people together. Whether you can volunteer a little or a lot, there are plenty of ways to support your classroom.

What Do Room Reps Do?

Room Reps help support their classrooms throughout the school year by:

• Connecting with teachers: Learning about classroom needs, communication preferences, and opportunities for family support.

• Keeping families informed: Sharing important classroom and PTA updates, activities, and volunteer opportunities.

• Encouraging participation: Helping families find ways to contribute, whether at school or from home.

• Building community: Helping families feel connected to their classroom and the larger MST community.

• Coordinating classroom celebrations: Working with other Room Reps to organize volunteers, activities, and supplies for our Winter and Valentine's Day parties.

Support Your Class Party Fund

Help make classroom celebrations special for all MST students! Contributions to your grade's Class Party Fund help cover supplies, activities, and other expenses for our Winter and Valentine's Day parties.

Funds are shared equally among classrooms within each grade, ensuring every student can enjoy the celebrations. Every contribution helps, and any unused funds roll forward with the grade to the next school year.
